Calimoto is one of the motorcycle navigation applications that we get asked about quite often when the SilverFox team is attending the exhibitions and other events.
"Do to the controllers work with Calimoto?" - Quick anwser "Yes!". The longer answer "Calimoto is one of the F1-Mode applications that has been tested to work with the SilverFox controllers. Which means that the SilverFox InControl app will support in doing the button mapping for the Calimoto app." More details on this here and here.
For complete transperancy, personally I do not have a lot of experience with the Calimoto Application. But, in my limited experience, I will say this... I love the simplicity!! The application is direct and to the point: plan the ride and go for the ride!

Open the Calimoto navigation application and there is a big red button for a "new ride". This is where you plan a tour, create a round trip, or record the trip you are about to do. Self explanitory and straight forward. When planning or creating a trip the steps to get a route layed out on the map are easy, with options for "winding" roads, "twisty" roads, and certain "map points" if desired. Routes are easy to put on the map or easy to save for another day (or to be called up on a separate device). Clicking the "Rides" menu in the lower left corner will show you what you planned (saved), rides completed, and even rides that others have shared! An additional feature here (that I have yet to use) is the "Group Ride" feature which will sync the route for all riders, and can share a live location! (Of course the access to these will vary depending on the account type you have set up.)
There are wider range of customization features that are found in the "settings" menu, under the "profile" button from the main page. But, once again the layout behind the profile and settings is really direct. This "simple" layout is absolutely NOT a bad thing! There is nothing more frusterating (for me) than getting "lost" in several layers of settings and function menus! There does not seem to be a battery of "frills" or "gimmicks" in Calimoto - and this is a great feature!
As mentioned, when you are using your SilverFox controller with the Calimoto motorcycle navigation application, make sure you are in the "F1 Mode", and use the InControl Application to map the controller buttons before you hear out on the road!
